Abstract:In this study, we artificially created a local defect on one side (one filament) of the spiral multifilament coated conductor by using a thin drill bit, then set the voltage taps on both sides of the tape. The voltages in longitudinal (both sides) and transverse directions during the thermal runaway process were measured in our experiments.
