Abstract:The application of superconducting technology to aircraft can solve the serious environmental problems caused by the exhaust and noise of traditional aircraft and improve the performance of aircraft. In order to cooperate with aircraft electrification, superconducting cables used in aircraft DC and AC power systems have been studied in recent years. To analyze the stress and feasibility of the high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable during the flight period, this study uses the T-A formulation to model the two-dimensional cross-section part of the cable. The AC loss of HTS cable is analyzed and discussed from three aspects: single-phase and three-phase cable type, flight mission profile of the electric aircraft, and the influence of harmonic current.
