Coupling time constant measurements of striated coated conductors in wide frequency range

Abstract:Striation is an effective approach to reduce AC loss, but it is only work after the decay of the coupling current. The coupling current is characterized with the coupling time constant, which is determined from the AC loss measured or calculated at various frequency. In this study, we try to improve the performance of the AC loss measurement system in wide frequency range, and measure the AC loss of striated coated conductors to determine their coupling time constants.
