Abstract:We investigated the uniaxial strain dependence on critical current density of REBCO coated conductors, and found that an anomalous double-peak structure appears in REBCO without APC but does not appear in REBCO with c-axis-correlated pins. This suggests that the pinning mechanism influences on the presence/absence of double peaks in Jc-strain curves.
Then, we constructed a model of Jc(B,strain), which takes (1) twin structure that possess opposite strain dependence and (2) different pinning mechanisms (random and c-axis-correlated pins) into account. We found that our model can reproduce a sign of the double-peak structure in a qualitative way, suggesting that the double peaks in Jc(B,strain) can basically be understood by the twin structure exhibiting opposite strain dependence and pinning mechanisms.
In the presentation, we would like to report details of these results.
