Abstract:Process simulation has been conducted for ITER cryogenic system, consisting of the superconducting magnet system and 3 helium refrigerators operated in parallel. Superconducting magnet models, Central Solenoid (CS), Toroidal Field coil (TF), Structure (ST) Poloidal Field (PF) coil and Correction Coil (CC), have been developed at National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) with Visual Modeler®, while cryoplant model, consists of three 25 kW class helium refrigerators, has been developed at ITER Organization (IO) with EcosimPro®. Co-simulation of two independent models has been performed under 15 MA baseline scenario (DT phase operation) and benchmarked against independent process simulation model. The presentation describes the coupling of two independent simulation models and discusses the benchmark of co-simulation results.
