Abstract:During E-J characteristic measurements of a coated conductor with magnetic substrate, magnetization of the magnetic substrate will induce the additional magnetic field on the coated conductor. Since E-J characteristic is influenced by magnetic field seen by coated conductor, the E-J characteristics evaluated from measurements results will be different from the expected E-J characteristics.
At first, two kinds of E-J characteristics measurements are conducted on a coated conductor with magnetic substrate. Then, static field analyses are conducted to estimate the influence of magnetic substrates on the E-J characteristic measurements. At last, a method to cancel the influence of magnetic substrate during the evaluation of E-J characteristic is proposed.
