Abstract:We report that the critical current density of carbohydrate doped MgB2 wires can be understood by the percolation model. The percolation model enables us quantitative analysis on the effect of doping. The increase of the critical current density by doping was closely related with the increase in the upper critical field and the decrease of the anisotropy parameter. On the other hand, the pinning force maximum was lowered and seems to be main reason for the reduction of the critical current density at low field by doping.
