Abstract: Multifilament structure is currently developed for HTS coated conductor in a.c. electrical power applications; pursuing higher current density iJcj. In this contextC we report our results on the high spatial imaging of flux flow dissipation on YBCO multi-filament using low temperature scanning laser microscope iLTSLMj. Combining with information of local current distribution obtained by scanning SQUID microscopeC we can visualize and analyze its local 2-D Jc distribution within the multifilament. This work was partly supported by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization iNEDOj as Collaborative Research and Development of Fundamental Technologies for Superconductivity Applications and also supported by JSPS: KAKENHI i18360153j.
